The area of camping Jagtveld has several hiking trails and cycling routes, which will offer you a quiet haven during your holiday. You will find tens of kilometres of trekking routes and cycling routes, starting directly from the campsite.

At camping Jagtveld you can enjoy the tranquillity of the coast, but the culture and hospitality of the ‘Randstad’ is also within your reach. Within 20 kilometres from the campsite you will find the cities of Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague / Scheveningen.

The campsite is located on the border between Hoek van Holland and ‘s-Gravenzande.


Within walking distance of the campsite you will find the beach of ‘s-Gravenzande. This beautiful, quiet and wide beach has long been known as one of the cleanest beaches in the Netherlands, where a beach guard is situated for safety. On the beach you will find several bars and restaurants.

In a southerly direction, this beach goes over to the beach of Hoek van Holland. A part of the beach has been reserved for nude recreation.


For beginners as for the advanced hikers or cyclist there are countless possibilities. For example, there is the possibility to reach the beautiful dunes of Kijkduin and Scheveningen by bike, when you are heading north.

Further south, you can bike along the New Waterway towards Maassluis and visit the storm surge barrier, the final elements of the water works.

For hikers there are beautiful trails through the dunes in both northern and southern direction. A morning or evening stroll on the beach is certainly recommended.


Hoek van Holland is perhaps one of the most famous resorts of this area, located at the “New Waterway”, where countless ships find their way on a daily base to and from the largest port in Europe, Rotterdam. You can have a stroll on the beautiful promenade along the New Waterway. The promenade -Queen Emmaboulevard- offers a great view on the ships that sail close to the banks.

In Hoek van Holland you will find, 5 minutes from Camping Jagtveld, the terminal of Stena Line, which operates a daily ferry to Harwich in England. The tourist office is located in the centre of Hoek van Holland, where they will gladly inform you about the area and its attractions, including the famous ‘Maeslantkering’ and cruises. In the centre of Hoek van Holland and at the beach you will also find many cafes and restaurants, where you can sample various national and international cuisines.


‘S-Gravenzande is located in the municipality of Westland. Westland is renowned worldwide as “The City of Glass”. This beautiful part of the Netherlands is characterized by the large amount of greenhouses. The Netherlands has built up a very good reputation in the world when it comes to the horticultural sector. In more and more places, you can visit the greenhouses inside and taste their delicious products. Museums and many events make Westland an attractive area to spend your free time.

In the renewed centre of ‘s-Gravenzande you will find cosy terraces and several restaurants around the market square.
